DARREN BRANDL is career producer and co-founder of the recently acquired genre studio, Crypt TV (backed by Eli Roth, Blumhouse and NBCu). Brandl ran the banner for nine years as COO and senior ep where he produced Peacock’s GIRL IN THE WOODS, DON’T WATCH THIS for Netflix, THE BIRCH on FB Watch, and Webby award winning VR Show TRICK-VR-TREAT for Meta Quest from Eli Roth staring Vanessa Hudgens as well as the feature THE ANGRY BLACK GIRL AND HER MONSTER which premiered at SXSW, was released theatrically to rave reviews and currently ranked in the top 60 best genre films of the century by USA Today.

His XR TV series “THE FACELESS LADY” was recently released, and is the first live action VR TV series ever produced. Brandl has EP’d 75+ episodes of TV, across $65M in spending for various streamers, and as a COO he has overseen three successful capital raises including venture funding from NBCu and Blumhouse. Subsequently Crypt was named in by Fast Company as one of the ten most innovative companies in video for its approach to producing serial genre IP for the internet generation which has been adapted into videogames, live events, podcasts and multiple seasons of tv shows.

Prior to Crypt, Brandl previously produced features and television independently for Lionsgate, Showtime and MTV under his own production company, which he ran privately and profitably for four years. Darren has expertise in creative development, studio operations, production, finance, legal and structuring international co-productions.
