REBECCA SUN is a journalist who was most recently senior editor of diversity and inclusion at The Hollywood Reporter. In 2023 she was the inaugural recipient of the Trailblazer Award at the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment’s salute to women and nonbinary people in Hollywood, and in 2019 she was named to Gold House’s A100 list of the most impactful Asians and AAPIs in culture. Her reporting has won both National Arts & Entertainment and Southern California journalism awards from the Los Angeles Press Club as well as a GLAAD Media Award nomination. Sun began her career as a writer and editor at Sports Illustrated, and her bylines have also appeared in Vanity Fair, Esquire China, Red Bulletin and New York. A native of the Bay Area, she earned a master’s degree in journalism from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in biology and English from Duke University.
