TREVOR SMITH, Executive Vice President of This Machine, is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and R.J. Cutler’s longtime producing partner.

Smith’s documentary feature producing credits include Martha (Netflix), Elton John: Never Too Late (Disney), the Academy Award shortlisted Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry (Apple TV+), The Disappearance Of Shere Hite (IFC), South to Black Power (HBO), BELUSHI (Showtime), and The World According to Dick Cheney (Showtime).

His Executive Producing TV credits include “Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series” (Apple TV+), Emmy Award-winning non-fiction series “Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul” (Netflix), “Murf the Surf: Jewels, Jesus and Mayhem in the USA” (MGM+) and “Supreme Models” (YouTube’s Black Voices Fund). He is also the Co-Executive Producer of the award-winning “Dear…” (Apple TV+).

Upcoming projects for Smith include Lee Soo Man: The King of K-Pop (Prime Video), and untitled documentaries about Karol G (Netflix) and Olivia Newton-John.

Smith is currently serving as co-chair of the Documentary & Non-Fiction Committee for the Producers Guild of America. Smith also sits on the Documentary Peer Group Executive Committee for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
