Allain is the first woman of color elected President of the Producers Guild of America and Emmy-nominated for producing the 2020 Academy Awards. As a long-time activist for equity and belonging in Hollywood, she is the recipient of UCLA’s Vision Award and the Polly Platt Award. She sits on the boards of the American Cinematheque and the Producers Guild of America. Also a member of AMPAS and the WGA, her first children’s book, WHO’S IN CHARGE? was published by Candlewick Press in 2024.
