JOY GORMAN WETTELS is a career producer and founder of JOY COALITION, a production venture focused on bridging generations through purpose-driven content.
Most recently, Gorman originated the new adaptation of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE (Netflix/CBS Studios), set to premiere in July 2026, which has already been renewed for Season 2. She has secured renewals for all her TV projects, including four seasons of the critically acclaimed drama 13 REASONS WHY, which she executive-produced alongside Selena Gomez. Her past TV credits include the NAACP award-winning comedy UNPRISONED (Hulu), HOME BEFORE DARK (Apple TV+), made with Jon M. Chu and the team behind WICKED, and the critically-acclaimed EYES ON THE PRIZE 3 (HBO).
Joy Coalition is entering production this summer on a feature film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s iconic novel THE BELL JAR (Focus Features). Her past film credits include SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD and THE MEDDLER.
A leading voice at the intersection of entertainment and social impact, Gorman partners with organizations on youth mental health, justice reform, and inclusive storytelling. Gorman was previously a partner at Anonymous Content, where she worked alongside legendary producer Steve Golin for 14 years and helped transition his award-winning management and production entity into a studio.
