CHRIS SLAGER is an Emmy-nominated producer and the head of the film studio at FIFTH SEASON, overseeing all in-house film development, production, and distribution partnerships. On the heels of successes like 80 for Brady, Michael Bay’s Ambulance, and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s multiple Academy Award nominee The Lost Daughter, anticipated upcoming releases for FIFTH SEASON include Netflix/Artists Equity’s Animals, directed by and starring Ben Affleck, and A24’s action film The Peasant, directed by and starring Dev Patel. Recent releases include Stephen Chbosky’s Nonnas, starring Vince Vaughn, Susan Sarandon, and Linda Cardellini, for Netflix; Jan Komasa’s Anniversary, starring Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler, and Dylan O’Brien for Lionsgate; Nick Rowland’s She Rides Shotgun, starring Taron Egerton for Amazon and Lionsgate; and Andrew DeYoung’s Friendship, starring Paul Rudd, Tim Robinson, and Kate Mara for A24 and Paramount. A prolific executive, he has helped raise over a billion dollars in production financing and amassed over 100 feature film credits, including Academy Award nominees The Florida Project and Mudbound, Independent Spirit Award-winner Pig, as well as Jerry and Marge Go Large, The Banker, Uncorked, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and the hit Book Club franchise. A long-serving FIFTH SEASON executive throughout the company’s evolution, Slager’s previous roles include serving as a Partner and SVP of Film Finance and Sales at Endeavor Content and previously WME. Earlier, he was with Focus Features. In 2019, Slager was honored on Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 list and in 2024 on The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen list.
