Hayma ‘Screech’ Washington’s career spans the industry almost 30 years, working as an Executive Producer, Director, Producer, and Associate Producer.

Earlier in his career, Washington was the Associate Producer for Don Ohlmeyer Communications Company; credits include the 39th Annual Emmy Awards Show, The Comedy Store’s 15th Reunion, and several of Disney’s 4th of July Spectacular TV specials. Washington was also part of the team that produced the first four years of the MTV Video Music Awards, and was honored with four MTV Merit Awards.

As a freelancer, he worked on the First Annual ESPY’s for ESPN. His first directing venture on The Yamaha Sound Check earned him an award from Yamaha.

Washington then moved onto a 10-year stint at The Walt Disney Studios and held the position of Vice President of Buena Vista Domestic and International Productions, overseeing Physical Production and Foreign Format Operations.

More recently, Washington served as Executive Producer of the CBS television show The Amazing Race. His thirteen seasons garnered him seven consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. In addition, he received a Producers Guild Award in 2004. He is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Science and is currently the Vice President of Television for the Producers Guild of America.

With his success, Hayma ‘Screech’ Washington formed his own production company, Screechers Pix. The Company has numerous television networks as clients and continues to develop and produce original content for television, both reality and scripted for domestic and international distribution.
