Produced By Conference News

May 27, 2011 - New Speakers Added to Green Session and Socially Networked!

The Produced By Conference just keeps growing!  Practically every day we’re adding new names to our panels.  Our Saturday panel Bleeding Green: Content with a Cause is now stacked with acclaimed documentarians, including Lesley Chilcott (a Producers Guild Award winner for Waiting For ‘Superman’), Joe Berlinger (whose controversial film Crude sparked a landmark 1st Amendment case), Stephen Nemeth (executive producer of Flow, the rare film screened at both the Democratic and Republican national conventions), Rebecca Harrell Tickell (whose The Big Fix was a recent Cannes sensation) and Peter Byck (producer of the acclaimed doc Carbon Nation).  Any producer interested in using her or his craft to change the world simply has got to find a way to this panel.

For many producers, a social media campaign means tweeting about your project once a week.  If you fit that description, you owe it to yourself (and your would-be audience) to check out Socially Networked: The Plugged-In Producer.  For that panel, we’ve added pros like Brent Weinstein (Head of Digital Media at UTA), Bedonna Smith (Digital Media Producer for this year’s Academy Awards), Nick Turner (Senior VP of Digital Media for Relativity Media) and Elias Plishner (the Senior VP of Worldwide Digital Marketing for Sony – aka, the guy who handled the social network campaign for The Social Network).  These are the folks who know how social media works for different projects… including yours.  They’re ready to share that information with you—but only if you register for Produced By.
