William Horberg

William Horberg is an independent producer whose production company, Wonderful Films, just completed Death At A Funeral starring Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence and Tracy Morgan. Horberg is also an Executive Producer on the upcoming Miramax/Disney release Don't Be Afraid of the Dark starring Guy Pierce and Katie Holmes, and is in pre-production on The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman starring Shia LeBouef for Mandate Pictures. Previously, Horberg was the President of Production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment for three years starting in August 2005. During his tenure, the company produced United 93 (2006), Breach (2007), Death at a Funeral (2007), Charlie Bartlett (2007), Married Life (2007), Talk to Me (2007), Lars and the Real Girl (2007) and Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche, New York (2008), as well as Greg Mottola's Adventureland and Management starring Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn. Horberg was also the producer of The Kite Runner (2007), which was filmed on location in China; he was an Executive Producer on the Focus Features release Milk (2008) starring Sean Penn and directed by Gus Van Sant. Horberg previously headed his own independent production company, Wonderland Films, and for 11 years was a partner, with Sydney Pollack and Anthony Minghella, in the film and television production company Mirage Enterprises. At Mirage, Horberg was a producer of the critically acclaimed Oscar-nominated films The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), The Quiet American (2002) and Cold Mountain (2003).
