Tracey E. Edmonds

Tracey E. Edmonds is President and CEO of Edmonds Entertainment and President and Chief Operating Officer of Our Stories Films. Edmonds Entertainment has created and produced projects for television and film, including the film Soul Food, which earned five NAACP Image Awards. In addition, Edmonds released Good Luck Chuck, starring Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, in September 2007 and produced her latest film, the romantic comedy, New in Town, starring Renee Zellweger, which was released in January 2009. Edmonds’ successes in television include the series Soul Food (which won multiple NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series three years in a row), College Hill (the first African-American reality program currently airing its 6th season on BET) and its spin-off series College Hill Interns. She also produced the acclaimed series Lil’Kim: Countdown to Lockdown as well as DMX: Soul of a Man, and has projects in development for Lifetime, Oxygen, and VH1 Networks. Our Stories Films, created by BET founder Robert L. Johnson, is scheduled to go into production on its next two films this year: Homecoming, featuring Gabrielle Union, Sean “Puffy” Combs, and director Charles Stone (Drumline); and Jumping the Broom, a wedding comedy that Our Stories Films is producing in association with Bishop TD Jakes and Sony Pictures.

Edmonds serves on the boards of both the Producers Guild of America and the American Film Institute. She previously served four years on the board of the RIAA and is also currently serving on the board of Children Uniting Nations.
