Tim Gibbons, award-winning television and film producer, director and writer, is Executive Producer of HBO’s comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm. During his career, he’s won a Golden Globe, two Producers Guild of America’s Danny Thomas Producer of the Year awards, two DGA awards, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s Outstanding Producer of the Year—Comedy, and has been nominated for four primetime Emmys for Best Comedy.
In 2010, Gibbons has sold a comedy pilot to HBO starring Zooey Deschanel, executive produced the comedy pilot Our Show for NBC and wrote a dramedy for the CW (It Girls). In between seasons of Curb, he co-executive produced HBO’s single-camera comedy, The Unsuccessful Thug, executive produced and directed A&E’s hidden camera reality series, Spying on Myself, and produced The Comeback pilot, starring Lisa Kudrow. Gibbons serves on the National Board of Directors for the Producers Guild of America (having previously served as Co-President with Kathleen Kennedy). He is also a Governor (Producers) at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, for which he also serves on the Executive Committee, the Primetime Awards Committee, and chairs the Membership Committee.
Gibbons started his career in television in 1976 with four years at Dick Clark Productions, and through the years has worked on more than 125 productions, including a four-year stint as Executive in Charge of Production for Lorimar/Telepictures.
