Ron DeShay

Best known for his work as a producer of the runaway Fox hit series American Idol, Ron DeShay is continually showcasing his talents as a reputable powerhouse within the Hollywood arena. In addition to American Idol, Ron has produced many programs America has come to know and love, American Idol Gives Back, So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol Extra and American Jrs just to name a few.

Ron also served as Producer of Spike TV’s sketch comedy show MDN Do This! before being handpicked by network executives to executive produce and direct The History Channel’s first ever reality program, Full Throttle.

His commitment to community and diversified programming beckoned him to take to task the role of director for BET’s College Hill 2. As a direct result of Ron’s leadership, College Hill season 2 enjoyed the highest ratings ever for the series. Considering his most recent undertaking of forming the Women’s National Volleyball Association (WNVA); a professional volleyball league to be launched via a reality series, Hollywood and the rest of the world have yet to see all that Ron DeShay has to offer.

Ron DeShay attended the University of Texas at Austin and Clark Atlanta University. He currently resides in San Juan Capistrano, California with his wife of 11 years and co-owner of the Women’s National Volleyball Association Colette DeShay.
