Rob Rader is an Of Counsel entertainment lawyer in the Los Angeles office of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, where he represents studios, producers and distributors in all aspects of the acquisition, development, production, promotion, distribution and licensing of interactive video games, scripted and reality television programs, consumer products, themed entertainment, videocassettes, DVDs, and web sites and online content production and distribution.
Mr. Rader is involved in all aspects of reality television creation, production and distribution including representing Gordon Ramsey and Optomen; Big Vision Entertainment (The Ultimate BlackJack Tour; Wrestling Society X); Evergreen Films (Dinosaur Planet; Walking With Cavemen); Original Productions (Ice Road Truckers; Deadliest Catch; 1000 Ways To Die); New Dominion Pictures (The New Detectives; The FBI Files); Fast Track Pictures; and Last Bastion Entertainment. He regularly deals with National Geographic Channel, Discovery, the Oprah Winfrey Network, TV Guide Channel and other domestic and foreign distributors. He also represents Boing Boing; Epic Fu; Shira Lazar; Buzz Media and has worked extensively for Ask A Ninja and Lonelygirl15.
A former Vice President of Business Affairs at MGM, Mr. Rader was head of business affairs for MGM Domestic Television Distribution, MGM Consumer Products, MGM Interactive and MGM.com, as well as deputy head of business affairs for MGM Home Entertainment and Acquisitions.
