Richard Heus is currently producing Body of Proof, a new drama for ABC’s 2010-2011 season. He recently completed producing the series Ugly Betty in New York for ABC.
After finishing graduate school in Communication at Stanford, Heus began producing documentaries for various PBS outlets. He then moved on to make movies such as Darrow for American Playhouse, Christmas on Division Street for CBS and Race the Sun for Tristar Pictures. Since then he has produced award winning films such as Serving in Silence for NBC and the twenty-hour mini series Steven Spielberg Presents: Taken for the Sci Fi network for which he won an Emmy. Heus moved on to series in the late nineties with CBS’s Early Edition. He has continued producing series with such shows as Life As We Know It, Daybreak, Peacemakers, and In Justice for all the major networks. In the past two years, Richard also produced and directed a series of twelve webisodes for ABC.com entitled Mode After Dark based on two characters from Ugly Betty. He has also directed multiple episodes for several dramatic network series.
