Reiner Doetzkies is the Director of Technology for DLP Cinema within Texas Instruments. DLP Cinema is a proprietary technology that delivers clear, sharp, bright and accurate images to movie theaters globally. To manufacture and market under the DLP Cinema trademark, technology licensees, including Barco, Christie and NEC, must meet stringent industry standards and guidelines meant to ensure the best possible performance and picture quality. This digital picture and standard of excellence ensures that a DLP Cinema movie screening looks flawless and each showing is as perfect as the first to enhance the movie-going experience.
Reiner joined DLP Cinema in 1998 as a Systems Design Engineer. Currently, he manages DLP Cinema’s strategic partnerships with server manufacturers, technology providers, studios and standardization organizations.
Prior to joining TI, Reiner worked in the broadcast industry specializing in satellite communications, and worked The Jason Project with explorer Bob Ballard. Reiner holds a B.S.E.E. from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. Reiner and his family reside in metro Dallas, Texas.
