Marco Bario is Vice President, Theatrical Post Production for the Creative Services division of Technicolor in Los Angeles. Working out of Technicolor’s new state of the art facility in Hollywood, he is responsible for the digital production pipeline, including On Location Services, Dailies, Digital Capture Workflows, Digital Intermediate, Remote Grading, and the creation of creatively approved deliverables such as film recording, digital cinema masters and HD video files or tapes.
Bario has played a significant role in over 200 2D Digital Intermediates and over 20 3D projects. Some of the projects he and the talented team at Technicolor have handled include: the first Real-D digitally graded 3D release (Chicken Little), the first major film shot with Genesis digital cameras (Superman), the launch of Technicolor 3D - a solution for 35mm film based 3D exhibition (How To Train Your Dragon, Clash of the Titans), as well as visually stunning work with filmmakers including Clint Eastwood (Invictus, Gran Torino, Changeling, Letters From Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers), Robert Zemeckis (A Christmas Carol, Beowulf, Monster House), and Steven Soderbergh (The Informant!, The Girlfriend Experience, Che, The Good German, Eros).
Prior to joining Technicolor, Bario worked as a Line Producer and Associate Producer on network prime time and Saturday morning television series.
He is a proud member of the Producers Guild of America, the Hollywood Post Alliance, the Association of Moving Image Archivists, and is on the DGA’s qualification list as a Unit Production Manager.
