Long time PGA member Joe DeOliveira has been supervising post-production for the past 17 years on single camera television dramas and comedies.
He has designed workflow and supervised post-production for single-camera television drama and comedy pilots, series, web, and movies. Many projects have included visual effects, and CGI. He has also produced and directed stock footage, title, live action, voiceover, puppetry and second unit shoots.
In recent years he has become a proponent of bringing the post house in-house, and he is passionate about improving post production workflows. His current project, HUGE for ABC Family, is being photographed on the file-based Sony F800 Camera and edited and mastered on Avid Media Composer using the XDCAM format. This project is being edited in HD in-house, without an outside lab for dailies or on-line.
