Chris Paine

Chris Paine is the writer/director of Who Killed the Electric Car? The film premiered at the Sundance in 2006 before its release by Sony Pictures Classics to become one of the most successful documentaries of the last ten years. His new documentary Revenge of the Electric Car arrives in 2011.

Previously, Chris executive-produced the motorcycle racing film Faster! with Ewan McGregor and Mark Neale's No Maps For These Territories about cyberpunk author William Gibson. Chris also co-founded Internet Outfitters, an early player on the web; and Mondo-tronics, a materials provider for the Mars Pathfinder mission.

Chris has appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Nightline, ABC World News Tonight and boasts over 100 Facebook friends. Chris is a California native, improvisor, and environmentalist. He graduated from Colgate University with time off at NYU and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.
