A natural-born producer, Sabrina Wind is currently Executive Producer of the Golden-Globe winning ABC series, “Desperate Housewives.”
Raised in New Jersey, Sabrina's relentless drive and seeming inability to take "no" for an answer propelled her into the television industry barely out of her teens -- allowing her to be part of the 1988 Presidential Campaign, covering both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions as well as the 1989 Inauguration for CBS News -- all while still attending Boston University’s College of Communication.
Upon graduation, she freelanced at the "Today" show as well as CBS News, eventually relenting to the inevitable move to the West Coast when she was offered a position on "Night Rap", a news satire show for HBO. The series, despite its limited run, introduced Sabrina to the comedy genre, something she has been faithful to ever since.
Sabrina has spent many years working in prime-time network television. Following her life-long dream to work on situation comedies, she rose through the ranks on such shows as "Reba", "Smart Guy", "The Five Mrs. Buchanans", "Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place " and " Reno 911." During her limited downtime, she has worked on an eclectic array of projects, such as the first live "Survivor" series finale, the Oscar winning short “Trevor” for HBO and various plays for Los Angeles theatre companies.
In addition to her work on “Desperate Housewives”, she is presently developing shows for ABC Studios.
Sabrina is a very proud Board member of the Producers Guild of America, as well as a former Vice-President. But her greatest pride comes from her marriage to Scott Tobis, a writer, and their fantastic son, Travers.
